For 1960 the Starliner was set up and raced by H/M and also was available to anyone who had the $4995.00 price tag for a H/M Starliner. As I recall this is the only time the Bird was raced in G.N. Bill France allowed the use of the 430 even though it was slightly bigger than the 7 liter limit because of the lack of factory cars in the innaugral Daytona 500 of 1959. Unless you have verifiable documentation on this car I would have some serious doubts about it. The NASCAR T-birds had 430 MEL engines in them, not hipo 352s. Perhaps this Bird was raced in an other sanctioning body such as USAC or MARC Can the seller offer some sort of proof as to its origin?

I'm a long time car collector but this is my first experience in the wonderful world of FE blocks. What other engine mods were there to bring it up to 360HP? This is a really GREAT car. How common was this Hi-Po engine in production T-Birds? How many years available? It has alum intake and I believe a special cam. This is supposed to be one of only two survivors.
